Raw joins us live as Tazz is sitting in for Jerry Lawler tonight on commentary. Randy Orton is in the ring ready to speak. He says, take a good look, cause this is the last time we're gonna see him in the ring without the WWE championship around his waist. 2 weeks ago there was a defining moment, a turning point... the beginning of the end. The show Orton beating up Cena 2 weeks ago on Raw. He says he wants to see that footage again, several times and in slow motion even. He says that footage will be legendary and that the move he used will be what is used to end the title run of John Cena. The crowd is chanting for CENA! He says that he wouldnt be surprised is Cena didnt make it to summerslam because it was rumored that he's not even here tonight. ORton says that if he is here, he should come out and forfeit his WWE championship. Instead, the music of Mr. McMahon hits and Vince is on his way down the ramp. McMahon says that whats important to him is not the main event at SS right now, but that some woman has filed a lawsuit against him claiming he has another child. He calls the crowd rude. He says that somebody on the WWE roster is his son. Obvsiously someone of superior genetic makeup. He says that he wishes Randy Orton was his son, but he knows that isnt the truth. He hopes to find his son tonight, and that if he does he hopes they arent like his other offspring because they are all about his money. He says he hopes its someone who doesnt really care about the money. He says he has a hunch that they will find out who his son is tonight and when he does he'll bring them out and hopefully they give him a warm welcome. Vince calls the people in the crowd sick because he knows they will not welcome his son. He says he hopes his son isnt like the person who Orton is facing at SS because he has no dignity... just then Cena is shown in the back, on his way to the ring. Vince says come on out, he decided to show his ass afterall. The crowd is chanting for Cena... OUT HE COMES!
John Cena gets in the ring and grabs a mic. Vince says 'ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP!' Cena says these people dont like you, and I dont like you. Vince says he doesnt give a damn. Cena says hes arrogant, pompous and disrespectful. VINCE says hes RICH! Cena tells his to keep his money and that he doesnt want Vince as a father. Tonight Cena brings a message of his own, cause they thought he wouldnt show up, but he's here tonight. His message is that he will be at SS and that he will retain the WWE Championship! Vince says that for some reason if he doesnt show up, he'll strip him of the Championship. Vince says, speaking of stripping he met his mother and that he may of very well done his mom. Cena gives McMahon a huge right hand and Vince is on his way out with Orton. Vince stops on the ramp and says Cena will compete tonight against the undefeated Snitsky!
A rey Mysterio return promo is shown at the end of the commercial break. Raw is back from commercial and Melina is on her way out to the ring for a diva tag match. Beth Phoenix is next out, announced as Melina's tag team partner. Candice Michelle and Mickie James are next announced as their opponents. Regal stops the match from starting.. he says that this sunday is Summerslam, the biggest party of the summer. Its occurred to him that we cant have a party without Divas so this sunday on Summerslam there will be a huge WWE Diva battle royal and that the winner will be the #1 contender for the WWE womens championship. Phoenix and James start out here, with Phoenix dragging Mickie. Huge suplex from Phoenix, cover, but only a 1-count. James slings Phoenix to the corner and James tags in Candice Michelle who quickly goes to work on Melina who has also just come in for Phoenix. Phoenix tried to distract Michelle who didnt fall for it and knocked her off the matt. Afterwards, Michelle rolled up Melina for the win. Mickie James seems to not be impressed after the match so she gives Michelle a huge kick but Melina throws James out. Now Phoenix throws Melina out, as this sunday it will be every diva for themselves @ Summerslam!
Tazz announces a special guest for Carlito's Cabana, UMAGA! JR Reminds us that Cena vs. Snitsky is the main event tonight!
WWE Slam of the week shows Santino Marella singing for Maria when Ron Simmons comes out and says "DAMN!" then throws Marella off the ramp, and says "DAMN!" again.
Marella bursts in Regal's office. He says how can you allow Maria on a date with someone other than himself. Marella says its difficult to understand his accent. Regal orders Marella not ot interfere!
King Booker says to HHH that he has told everyone he is returning at SS, but he is going to ruin his surprise. He says that he knows HHH is in the building tonight, so theres no reason we cant meet in the ring tonight, before summerslam. Sharmell says HHH is invited to the ring tonight to the crowning of the REAL King, KING BOOKA!
Coach and Vince are shown backstage. Vince says thank god he isnt having another daughter. Coach says that HHH will be here tonight and its got him thinking... na no chance. Val Venis is shown behind them, and he says "HELLO DADDY!" Vince says, my son an adult film star? Vince says hes disappointed in Shane, cause if it wasnt for Shane Stone cold wouldnt have sprayed him with beer and He wouldnt have had to kiss peoples asses. Daivari shows up and starts kissing McMahon, then speaking in arabic, he puts the headdress on Vince. Funny stuff. Vince says it must be someone like him, with intelligence, then they run into Kennedy. Vince keeps walking, he says it must be a competitor, with great wealth... we go to commercial.
Back from commercial, J.R. reminds us once again that Snitsky vs. Cena will be our main event. The worlds greatest tag team is on the way to the ring, with Shelton Benjamin competing. His opponent is Cody Rhodes, who is also on his way to the ring. They show a replay of Rhodes debut when Randy Orton took out his father a couple weeks ago on Raw. Match is underway, Shelton takes control with a hammerlock, then punches Rhodes to the mat. Benjamin goes for a cover but only gets 2, mount punches by Benjamin now to Rhodes. Headlock from Behind on Rhodes. Charlie Haas is screaming at Benjamin outside the ring. Benjamin pushes Rhodes to the ropes and knees him in the spine twice, tries a third but Rhodes catches Benjamin with an elbow. Rhodes in control now with punches in the corner. Dropkick by Rhodes, and another! now a bulldog by Rhodes, and a near-fall afterwards. Rhodes punching Benjamin now, but Benjamin counters with a backbreaker. Benjamin trying for boston crab but Rhodes rolls him up for the huge upset. But Charlie Haas is in the ring now for the double-team on Rhodes. The worlds greatest tag team beats Rhodes up for awhile then screams at him for messing with the 'world's greatest.'
The WWE Tag champs, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are coming down the ramp now. They show a recap of Cryme Tyme selling Lillian's seat last week on Raw. Paul London and Brian Kedrick are the opponents. Kendrick in the ring now against Cade, headlock by Murdoch. Irish whip by Cade but Kendrick hip tosses him. Tag by Kendrick now, double-team on Cade leads to a cover, but to no avail, only gets 2. Murdoch and London battling now, London goes for a cover after a takedown but only gets 2. Cade back in... slapping London in the back of the head. Cade has London in the corner now, and slings him to the oppposite corner but London runs into him, double-team by London and Kendrick now, they throw Cade and Murdoch out and both members springboard themselves outside onto Cade and Murdoch. Cryme Tyme is now in the ring with Trevor Murdoch's hat, trying to sell it. He says, "who got $50? wait thats too much, who got $40?, still too much, who got $5 on this hat?" While Cade and Murdoch are distracted London rolls up Murdoch in the ring for the win. Cryme Tyme made the sell outside the ring and start rapping, THAT MONEY MONEY, THAT MONEY MONEY! Cade and Murdoch are in the ring arguing with each other.
King Booker and Sharmell are on the way to the ring for the official crowning of the King!
We are back as we see Candice Michelle with Ron Simmons at a sports bar and grill. Waiter asks what soup he wants and he says CLAM! and for his entree, LAMB!. then for his toast, JAM! Santino Marella shows up with Jillian Hall and asks if they mind them joining. The waiter shows back up and asks what vegetable he wants and he says YAM!
King Booker is in the ring for his coronation. Sharmell says "Ladies and Gentlemen, the one true king of all kings, and the man who will defeat HH this sunday at Summerslam... KING BOOKER!" Booker says thank you to his queen and loyal subjects. He says last week Jerome Lawler was to place the crown on Booker's head, but that did not happen. The crowd is chanting loud for HHH. Jerome chose to stomp on the crown that belongs to King Booker. He says jerome tried to scare Booker but it didnt work. he says that if jerome was here tonight instead of in his bed at home recooperating, that he would ask him, "does this look like a man who is scared of HHH?" and they show King beating up Lawler last week. Booker says that even though the crowning never happened, he's happy because it can happen tonight, in Fayetteville, NC, so that HHH can place the crown on his head instead. Booker calls HHH out. Nobody is coming. Booker says "damnit Hunter, bring your ass out here and crown the royal King Booker!" Triple H's music hits.....Somebody comes down the ring, with a big nose, drinking from a water bottle (obviously not HHH). Booker says HHH, you have proved you are not a coward, now prove you are not a king by placing the crown on the dome of Royal King Booker! The man places the crown on Booker's head, and bows before Booker. He says now we will face each other at the Summerslam games where I will make you bow down before me once again. He says he has one other small small matter. This is going to be very quick, says Booker. He climbs outside the ring and walks over to the commentary table where J.R. and Tazz are. He says this doesnt concern Tazz, so Tazz walks away. Booker says that last week, J.R. had some bad words about about him. He asks J.R. if he remmebers making the comments that he did. Booker says that he's going to give him a chance to redeem himself, if he kisses Booker's ring. J.R. stands up and shakes his head NO. Booker says hes not asking him, he's telling him to KISS HIS RING! He says if he doesnt the same thing that happened to Jerome will happen to J.R. Jim Ross says he isnt gonna kiss his ring, but Sharmell pushes his head to the ring of Booker. Booker says, "now that wasnt so hard was it? Thank You James, thank you." And Booker walks off with his hands in the air
Another promo for tonights main event is shown featuring John Cena and Snitsky.
Back from commercial now, a recap of JR kissing King Bookers ring is shown. Jillian Hall is shown singing at the restaurant in front of Candice, Simmons and Maria. They say they didnt know Kareoke was tonight, and that she is terrible. The waiter shows up again and ask for an autograph from Marella. He reads an embarassing 'article' from a magazine talking about Marella's genitals. Marella starts babbling and Simmons says, SHAM!
Back in the ring now, Carlito is set up for Carlito's Cabana. he introduces UMAGA as his guest. Carlito starts giving compliments to Umaga, but no response. He says SS is the biggest party of the summer but he doesnt have a match, so he should have an IC championship match against UMAGA! That gets his attention a bit. Whaddya say? KENNEDY! Mr. Kennedy is on his way out now. Carlito says, "not you again." Kennedy asks Carlito if he has any idea who hes talking to? He says UMAGA is a 2-time IC champion and should be treated as such. He says Umaga has bulldozed his way thru everybody on raw... except Kennedy. And Kennedy has done something that Umaga hasnt... beat Bobby Lashley. He says he destroyed Lashley, he took him out! The way Kennedy sees it, if theres anybody in the lockerroom that deserves a shot at the IC title, its MR. KENNEDY! He goes to say Kennedy again and UMAGA kicks Kennedy and Carlito out of the ring, he goes crazy and starts destroying the entire set of Carlito's Cabana.
Regal shows up at the top of the ramp before Umaga can leave, but hes scared to talk until Umaga leaves. He says both men are deserving for the IC title match. So tonight it will be Carlito vs. Kennedy to face Umaga at Summerslam for the Intercontinental Title!
We're back from commercial and Carlito/Kennedy is already under way. Kennedy slams Carlito down by his hair. Carlito back now, on top of Kennedy with mount punches. Carlito then throws Kennedy out of the ring but Kennedy jumps right back in and takes Carlito down. This goes back and forth a few times, in and out of the ring. Carlito is waiting in the ring for Kennedy, who finally gets back in before the count-out. Slaps by Carlito to the chest of Kennedy now in the corner. Irish whip by Carlito who clotheslines Kennedy on the way back, and goes for the cover, but only gets a 2-count. Headlock by carlito now, with hard elbows. Reversal by Kennedy who throws Carlito over his back onto the matt. Punches by Kennedy in the corner now, but Carlito takes Kennedy down with another clothesline. Tries for a cover but the ref says Kennedy's shoulders werent down, so now count. Suplex by Carlito on Kennedy into the ring after kennedy was standing on the mat just outside the ropes. Cover by Carlito, but only gets a 2-count. Carlito in control now. Bodyslam by Carlito, he goes to the 2nd rope, but Kennedy punches him as he tried to jump. Big right hand by Kennedy now, and a whip into the ropes and delivers an elbow to Carlito on his way back. Springboard elbow from Kennedy to Carlito, and Kennedy throws Carlito to the corner and Carlito flips over the turnbuckle and outside the ring. Kennedy goes outside now, hes got Carlito on the steps outside and he delivers a huge kick to the shoulder of Carlito....
Back from commercial as Kennedy and Carlito are still battling. Kennedy with huge punches to Carlito but Carlito ducks one and takes Kennedy down. Huge pinfall, but to no avail, only got 2. Carlito whips Kennedy into the ropes and he runs right into a huge dropkick, another pinfall attempt by Carlito but he only gets 2 again. Neckbreaker from Carlito, another pin attempt but still only gets 2. Whip to the corner by Carlito, but Kennedy jumps out of the corner and pushes Carlito into the turnbuckle. Kennedy has Carlito up top on the ropes, but Carlito reverses Kennedy into a huge suplex off the top ropes. Controversial pin as both mens shoulders were down. The referree determines that since both men's shoulders were down, this match is a draw. Regal comes out, he makes a triple threat match for Summerslam, Carlito vs. Kennedy vs. Umaga for the Intercontinental Title.
We're back at the restaurant. Santino says to Simmons if he ever puts his hands on him again he'll beat the living crap out of him like a christmas YAM! or however you say it. Simmons throws the table over on Marella and says DAMN! Funny stuff.
J.R. and Tazz go over the current Summerslam card for this sunday. The crowd went crazy when the main event for Summerslam was announced.
Vince is in the back with Melina. She says she was texting a friend...Now that he knows Melina isnt his because he knows its a boy..Coach interrupts with the new WWE magazine, which Melina is on the cover. He hits on her saying that she has a super soaker on the cover and that hes been known to use his super soaker too. Snitsky interrupts and says he like to cause pain, like the pain Cena caused to Vince tonight. "So Mr. McMahon, DAD, John Cena's pain will be my pleasure."
Main Event time as Snitsky is on his way out to the ring. Cena's music hits and he's on his way to the ring now. Match is under way as the two lockup, Snitsky has the advantage, then knees Cena in the midsection. Kicks to Cena in the corner. Crowd is loudly chanting CENA! Cena reverses the kicks and slams Snitsky, then tries for a cover, but only gets 2. Snitsky back up quick and whips Cena to the ropes for a big boot to the head of Cena. Another whip to the ropes by Snitsky, who gives him a huge clothesline which knocks Cena to the outside. Snitsky now outside, hammering away at Cena. Back in the ring now, Snitsky bodyslams Cena to the mat. Cena battles back with punches to Snitsky, but Snitsky isnt bothered and knocks Cena back down. Double-underhook by Snitsky now, followed by a huge clothesline. Snitsky whips Cena to the corner. Snitsky tries for a big boot to the corner but misses. Cena hits a huge leg drop from the top rope on Snitsky. He picks up Snitsky for the FU but Randy Orton sneaks in the ring and RKO's CENA! Snitsky wins by DQ. Orton picks up Cena and RKOs him again. Now Orton going outside, gets the Belt, stares at the belt with a sinister look as Raw goes off the air.
