Jim Ross updated the Q&A section of JRsbarbq.com. The following items are among the highlights.
-Ross on candidates to induct Ric Flair into the WWE Hall of Fame: “I have heard of several names who might induct Ric including a family member, Arn Anderson, Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The decision is 100 percent Ric’s. Triple H would be a good choice as I know he and Ric are close but one can certainly say that Double A will either be on the stage or in Ric’s heart. HBK might be a "long-shot.”
Powell’s POV: Dot Net readers voted overwhelmingly in favor of Anderson to do the honors. And while I agree with the readers that I’d like to see Arn induct Flair, the only thing that matters is, as Ross said, that the decision is 100 percent Flair’s to make.
-Ross on what Flair’s role in WWE could be after wrestling: “I could see Ric doing a variety of things but some sort of "Goodwill Ambassador" seems to be tailor made for ‘Naitch.’”
-Ross on the possibility of a Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat match or angle taking place: “As much as I enjoyed the Flair-Steamboat rivalry back in the day, those days have been long gone and I don’t see how "Naitch" and "The Dragon" could ever approach living up to the standard they set in the 80’s. I would not be for this suggestion and I have the utmost respect for both guys.”
-Ross on the Ultimate Warrior’s chances of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame: “I don’t think Warrior is on the list of wrestlers who will never be in the HOF and if he were inducted, his live, unedited acceptance speech most likely would be classic.”
